Malaika Arora Khan is a very famous bollywood actress. She is a well known for her item numbers in the bollywood movies. She was born on 23 August 1973 in Mumbai, India. She is also a famous name in the field of modeling, Indian VJ, television industry etc. Her mother and father were of different caste. Her father Anil Arora was Punjabi while her mother named Joyce Polycarp was Malayali. Malaika’s father were in the Merchant Navy. Her younger sister called Amrita Arora is also a well known bollywood actress. She completed her studies at Swami Vivekanand School in Chembur (Mumbai). Her aunt Grace Polycarp was the principal of that school.

Malaika was selected as one of the vj’s by the MTV India. Through MTV India she became the most prominent and non-movie female of urban India. MTV India also gave her a role of co-anchor in a very popular program Love Line and Style Check with Cyrus Broacha at many award ceremonies. Then, she entered into the modelling world and her modeling career was equally successful as her MTV India career. She appeared in so many advertisement and dance sequences of successful bollywood movies such as Maahi Ve in Kaante and Chaiyya Chaiyya of the movie Dil Se. She made a rocking pair with Shahrukh Khan in several item numbers of bollywood movies.

She did another item songs in the form of Kaal Dhamaal of the movie Kaal in which Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi, John Abraham, Lara Dutta, Esha Deol and ofcourse Shahrukh Khan played significant characters. She worked in the two hit songs Heyy Baby and Om Shanti Om in the year 2007. She is married to bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan whom she met during a coffee ad shoot. They have a son named Arhaan. She is the sister-in-law of bollywood hunk, Salman Khan. Malaika recently appeared as a judge in the television shows such as Nach Baliye, Nach Baliye 2 and Zara Nachke Dikha.
