Former bollywood actress, Mandakini, was born on January 7, 1969 in Uttar Pradesh, India. She began her career as a lead actress at the age of just 16 with Raj Kapoor’s Ram Teri Ganga Maili. She was paired opposite Raj Kapoor’s youngest son, Rajiv Kapoor, in the film. The movie did well at the box office and became a huge hit. The film also remained in controversy because of two very hot scenes of the actress. The first scene was the one in which Mandakini bathes in a waterfall wearing an exposing outfit through which her breasts were cleraly visible and in the second scene she was seen breast feeding a child.

After that film, she worked in several other projects as well but never succeeded in recreating the same magic. However, some of her films such as Mithun Chakraborty starrer Dance Dance and Pyar Karke Dekho did well at the box ofice. Later she was rumoured to have a close relationship with Dubai-based gangster, Dawood Ibrahim. Mandakini denied all the rumours and get married to a doctor, R. Thakur, in Mumbai. Later another news came that she had secretly married Dawood’s younger brother Anees. Her career also suffered a lot from theses rumours and in 1996 she finally said goodbye to bollywood industry.
