Manu The Great was a social movie released in the year of 1987. The movie was directed and produced by Manu Narang. The important roles in the movie were enacted by Raj Narayan, Surendra Pal, Raj Kiran and Komal while Bharat Kapoor and Manu Narang were also there in the movie. The music and the lyrics of the movie were given by Ravi while the songs were sung by Amit Kumar and Anuradha Paudwal.

As guessed from the title of the movie Manu The Great, the film was a social movie that had nothing great to offer to the audience. Though the movie had nothing to offer but its release was surely noticed. The movie was directed as well as produced by Manu Narang whose first film as a director was Paanch Dushman released in 1973 while he has produced movies like Daulat Ke Dushman released in 1983 and Paanch Dushman released in 1973.

The male lead in the film was played by Raj Narayan who has only acted in the movie Anamika, released in 1973, before which also happens to be his first film as an actor. The other male lead in the film was played by the famous actor Raj Kiran who had done many movies earlier like Nazrana Pyar Ka, Teri Mang Sitaron Se Bhar Doon, Ek Hi Maqsad and Dulhan Banoo Mein Teri while his first movie was Basera released in 1950 and featuring Hiralal Ramola and Veena Kumari in the lead.
