Bollywood romantic family drama, Mili, directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and written by Bimal Dutta was released in the year 1975. The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri in lead roles while Ashok Kumar, Asrani, Usha Kiran, Aruna Irani, Shubha Khote and Chandra also played important characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the veteran well knwon music director Sachin Dev Burman while the songs were beautifully crooned by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar etc.

The movie starts with young and beautiful, Mili ( Jaya Bhaduri ), who is a sweet girl likes to make other people happy and therefore adored by everyone. Then enters a guy named Shekhar Dayal ( Amitabh Bachchan ) in their life, who has moved into their neighbourhood. Shgekhar feels irritating with the extremely kind nature of Mili and is not happy with the things she does to make him happy. Shekhar likes to leave completely alone and does not want anyone to disturb his peace.

But Mili always makes noise alongwith children while playing on the roof of the buliding. They both starts fighting out everyday. But soon thsi fight changes into affection and Shekhar too starts adoring Mili. He eventually falls in love with her. He decides to get married with her. But he get shcoked to learn that Mili has only few more months to live. What Shekhar will do now?
