The social drama My Brother Nikhil was released on March 25, 2005 under the banner of Four Front Films. The movie was directed by Onir and produced by Sanjay Suri and Raj Kaushal. The significant roles in the film were played by Sanjay Suri, Victor Banerjee, Juhi Chawla and Lilette Dubey while the roles of Purab Kohli and Dipannita Sharma were also significant. Music of the film was directed by M M Kreem and Sandesh Shandilya while the songs were sung by Lucky Ali, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kunal Ganjawala, Josh and Shaan.

After the success of movies like “Page 3” and “Black”, My Brother Nikhil is the movie based on some topic that aims to awaken the general public. This is the story of a man named Nikhil Kapoor ( Sanjay Suri ) who is a state swimming champion of Goa. He was trained by his father cum coach Navin Kapoor ( Victor Bannerjee ) and rules the rivers and pools. Navin is proud of him winning the scholarship from the sports ministry. His mother Anita Rosario Kapoor ( Lillete Dubey ) loves him a lot and his elder sister Anamika ( Juhi Chawla ) was more like a friend to him.

Nikhil had everything whether be it his girlfriend Leena Gomes ( Dipannita Sharma ), friends Nigel de Costa ( Purab Kohli ) and Sam Fernandez ( Gautam Kapoor ) or his competitor Kelly Menzes ( Shyan Munshi ). But one day his whole world shatters when he gets arrested and also when he comes to know that he has AIDS. All the raltionships redfine themselves, his parents break off with him. The only persons who stood for him was his elder sister Anamika who cared for him and wanted to protect him and his best friend Nigel de Costa.
