The comic and romantic movie Neal n Nikki was released on December 9, 2005 under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The movie was directed by Arjun Sablok and produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra. The main roles were enacted by Uday Chopra, Richa Pallod, Tanisha Mukherjee and Gaurav Gera while the supporting roles were played by Kamini Khanna and Pawan Chopra. Music of the film was directed by Salim and Sulaiman Merchant while the songs were sung by K K, Sonu Nigam, Dominique, Shweta Pandit and Mahalakshmi Iyer.

The story of the movie Neal n Nikki is based on the journey that changes the lives of two Indian people born and raised in Canada. The story revolves around a man Neal aka Gurneal Ahluwalia ( Uday Chopra ) who is a rockstar and a superstar, as he say. He is a mix of characters; he can be cool at one time and goofy at the same time. Neal is quite popular amongst the girls and quite well knows the trick of making his way to their heart. Nikki aka Nikita Bakshi ( Tanisha Mukherjee ) is confident and knows what she wants and does. She has a habit of taking odd jobs and leaving them frequently at her wish.

Neal was forced by his parents to marry a girl of their choice. He agrees to marry Sweetie from Bhatinda but on one condition that he would go on a 21 days bachelor vacation to enjoy his bachelorhood for the last time. Neal finds himself lucky to find a crazy Indian girl Nikki on the very first day itself. But there was one problem, whatever he does to enjoy his holidays, Nikki just undo it. It seemed that his holidays were about to get boring. They also exchange their life stories and come to know that they are not different but actually similar. They become friends and started sharing a chemistry between them.
