Shahrukh Khan’s home production movie Om Shanti Om was released on November 9, 2007 under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The movie has been directed by Farah Khan and produced by Shahrukh’s wife Gauri Khan. The actors in the lead roles of the movie were Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal, Shreyas Talpade, Uvika Chaudhary, Kirron Kher and there were special appearances by numerous Bollywood’s stars. The music directors of the film are Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani, while the songs were sung by K K, Sukhwinder Singh, Sonu Nigam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shaan, Udit Narayan and Shreya Ghosal.

Om Shanti Om was a huge hit movie produced by Shahrukh Khan and Farah Khan. Om Shanti Om is a love story that revolves around Om ( Shah Rukh Khan ) and Shanti ( Deepika Padukone ). The movie starts with the original Om Shanti Om song pictured on Rishi Kapoor. It was a time of 1970’s and Om was working as a junior artist in the film industry but had a dream of being a superstar someday. Shanti was a popular star of that time and Om was a huge fan of her. Om was in love with her but didn’t have enough courage to tell her. He also saved her from a mishap that occurred during the shooting.

In a sad accident to save Shanti from her husband Mukesh Mehra ( Arjun Rampal ), Om died and the story shifted to the present day. Om is now a popular superstar who had everything that he wished in his previous birth but he was haunted by his past and the memories of his love flooded him. He soon remembered everything and wanted to punish Mukesh for what he did. He then started finding the ways of doing this and with the help of his dear ones Pappau Master ( Shreyas Talpade ) and his mother Bela Makhija ( Kirron Kher ) he was successful in his mission.
