Bollywood action thriller, Paandav, directed by Raj Sippy and written by Anand vardhan was released on march 3, 1995. The movie starred Akshay Kumar and Nandini in lead roles while Prithvi, Pankaj Dheer, Mukesh Khanna, kanchan, Ajinkya Deo, Sudhir pandey, Surendra pal Singh, Kiran Kumar, Majeet kullar and Anil Nagrath also played significant characters in the film. The hit melodious music of the movie was composed by the hit music director duo Jatin Lalit while the songs were rendered by Kumar sanu, Udit Narayan, Amit Kumar Ganguly, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Alisha Chinoi and Alka Yagnik.

The movie starts with a guy named Vijay Kumar ( Akshay Kumar ), who is a police inspector by profession. He is living alongwith his elder brother, Aswini Kumar ( Mukesh Khanna ), who is Assistant Commissioner of Police and sister-in-law, Jyoti ( Manjeet Kullar ). Vijay is in love with a beautiful girl named Ritu ( Nandini ) and wants to get married with her. Vijay is assigned a case and after his investigation, he concludes that the assassiliant was committed by K. K. Kelva’s ( Kiran Kumar ) goons. He arrest K. K. and hold him in prison. Then date is fixed for the court hearing of K. K.’s case.

But just before the date of the hearing, Vijay is asked to leave K.K.. Vijay get shocked to learn that the order has been given by none other than his own brother, Ashwini Kumar. Vijay now suspects his brother of having any kind of relationship with K. K.. Vijay then starts investigating about the reason for which his won brother asked him to leave the culprit.
