Bollywood drama movie, Paar, directed by Gautam Ghose was released in the year 1984. The movie starred Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi in lead roles while Om Puri, Anil Chatterjee, Mohan Agashe and Utpal Dutt also played significant roles in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the music director Gautam Ghose while the songs were beautifully sung by Shabana Azmi etc.

( Utpal Dutt ) is the local landlord of a rural village of Bihar. He is living a wealthy lifestyle alongwith his family. He learns that a schoolmaster ( Anil Chatterjee ) is trying to make all villagers stand against him. He sends his goons to kill him. Schoolmaster is brutally killed by his goons. A villager named Naurangia ( Naseeruddin Shah ) gets furious to landlord because of this murder. Naurangia is married to Rama ( Shabana Azmi ). Naurangia decides to kill landlord and enters in his house. But unfortunately he ends up killing landlord’s borther.

Naurangia and Rama then escapes from the village in order to save their life from police as well as landlord. They arrives in a new village and starts working their. Rama gets pregnant with a child. But problem arises once again and police arrives there. Naurangi and Rama then escapes from there also. What will happen to them now?
