The social movie Page 3 was released on January 21, 2005 under the banner of Light House Films Pvt Ltd. The movie was directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and produced by Baldev Pushkarna and Bobby Pushkarna. The major roles in the movie were played by Konkona Sen Sharma, Atul Kulkarni, Tara Sharma and Boman Irani while the roles of Sandhya Mridul and Kurush Deboo were also important. Music of the film was directed by Shamir Tandon and the songs were sung by Lata Mangeshkar, Shaan, Sagarika, Adnan Sami and Sapna Awasthi.

The director Madhur Bhandarkar has all sorts of movies under his name from senseless “Aan - Men At Work” to social movie Page 3. The movie explores the hidden life style of top class celebrities in the metro cities. Madhavi Sharma ( Konkana Sensharma ) is a simple middle classed girl having strong beliefs and values. It id these qualities that makes her withstand the world. Vinayak Mane ( Atul Kulkarni ) is a crime reporter annoyed with Madhavi and the type of journalism she is involved with. Deepak Suri ( Boman Irani ) is the editor of the newspaper and likes Madhavi a lot for her work.

Inspector Arun Bhosle ( Upyendra Limaye ) is an honest cop and this quality of him makes him pay heavily. The movie explores the hidden life styles of the top stars living in the metro cities. The parties, the functions etc are viewed by the journalist Madhavi who then makes the headlines for her newspaper, the very night. The movie also tells the story of her friends Gayatri ( Tara Sharma ) and Pearl ( Sandhya Mridul ). While Gayatri is a struggling Bollywood actress, Pearl wanted to marry a rich tycoon.
