Police Aur Mujrim was an action and romantic movie released on July 24, 1992. The movie was directed and produced by K C Bokadia. The major roles in the movie were played by Joginder, Vinod Khanna, Raaj Kumar and Meenakshi while the supporting roles were played by Nagma, Bharat Bhushan, Avinash Wadhavan and Sadashiv Amrapurkar. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri and the songs were sung by Mohammad Aziz, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Udit Narayan, Anuradha Paudwal, Lata Mangeshkar and Kumar Sanu.

The movie is an action cum romantic flick that revolves mostly around Bombay’s Police Commissioner Veer Bahadur Singh ( Raaj Kumar ) who is presently living life with his wife, Mrs. Sharda Singh ( Anjana Mumtaz ) and daughter, Jyoti . The major twist in the movie comes when DSP Vishal Khanna ( Vinod Khanna ) arrests two notorious criminals and pimps Shera ( Sher Khan ) and Jaaga ( Joginder Shelly ).

Shera and Jaaga’s boss Banarsi Das kidnaps Jyoti in revenge and wanted the release of his henchmen from the prison if they wanted Jyoti back and alive. Vishal takes the charge of rescuing her on himself and this also resulted in the conviction of the criminals who are now given two year prison sentence. After their term, they met Banarsi Das to turn the lives of Veer Bahadur Singh and Vishal Khanna upside down. The criminals were helped by the Home Minister, Dharampal Singh ( Sadashiv Amrapurkar ).
