Bollywood sizzling actress, Pooja Batra, was born on October 27, 1976 in Uttar Pradesh, India. She is married to an Orthopedic Surgeon named Dr. Sonu Ahluwalia. She did is graduation in Economics from fergusson College, Pune. She wanted to be a pilot in indian Air force but destiny brings her at modelling and then in acting field. She was first noticed in the commercial she did for Liril Soap. She won the Miss India contest in the year 1993. She made her Hindi film debut with Anil Kapoor and Tabu starrer Virasat in the year 1997. The movie did well at the box office and she also got noticed by audience.

She was then seen in a titled Bhai opposite Suniel Shetty which failed to perform good at the box office window. She was next seen in Govinda and Sanjay Dutt starrer comedy flick Haseena Maan Jaayegi. Her next film was Salman Khan and Rani Mukherjee starrer romantic movie Kahin Pyaar Naa Ho Jaaye in which she played a supporting role for the first time. Her next film titled Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya flopped very badly at the box office.

She thenmovoed towards playing supporting roles in the movies like Farz, Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi etc. She did an item number in comedy flick Jodi No. 1 in which she dispalyed her dancing talents with Govinda. She then played an important role in Akshay Kumar starrer Talaash which also starred Kareena Kapoor in the female lead. The last movei in which she displayed her acting talent was 2005 released Taj mahal : An Eternal Love Story. her performance in the movie also earned Best Actress nomination for her.
