Veteran bollywood actor, Raj Babbar, was born on June 23, 1952 in Uttar Pradesh, India. He is married to Nadira Zaheer and they have two childrens Arya Babbar and Juhi Babbar, who are also bollywood actors by profession. Raj made his debut with a low budget film titled Kissa Kursi Ka in the year 1977. His first notable film was Sau Din Saas Ke in which he starred opposite beautiful Reena Roy. The movie did average business at the box office. He shot to fame after portraying a rapist in Zeenat Aman starrer Insaaf Ka Tarazu. He was then seen in two flop movies such as Hum Paanch and Raaz.

He won positive reviews for his performance in Farooq Sheikh and Rekha starrer Umrao Jaan. He gave another brilliant performance in musical romantic Nikaah opposite Salma Agha. He also played an important role in 1983 released Agar Tum Na Hote. He also played an important role in Dharmendra starrer comedy movie Naukar Biwi Ka. He then gave a series of flop films in the industry. But he soon delievered another hit film titled Sansar in whichc he was paired opposite Rekha. He played another subtle role in Dimple Kapadia starrer Zakhmi Aurat.

He then turned towards playing supporting roles in the movies like Ghayal, Barsaat, Gupt: The Hidden Truth etc. He played a significant character in 2005 released Madhur Bhandarkar’s Corporate. He was last seen in Himesh Reshamiya and Urmila Matondkar starrer Karzzz, which was the remake of Subash Ghai’s superhit reincarnation drama Karz. He played the funny character of G.G. Oberoi in the movie.
