Ram Tere Kitne Naam was a family drama that was released on February 15, 1985. The movie was directed by P Madhavan and produced by Harish Shah. The lead roles in the movie were played by Sanjeev Kumar, Prem Chopra, Rekha and Lalita Pawar while the roles of Sudhir, Shammi Kapoor, Narendra Nath, Yunus Parvez, T P Jain, Jagdish Raj and Chandrashekhar were also important. The music of the film was directed by R D Burman while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Aarti Mukherji and Mohammed Rafi.

Ram Tere Kitne Naam was a family flick that revolved mostly around a man named Peturam ( Sanjeev Kumar ). As the name of the guy suggests, he is an overweight person but loved a girl more than others. Peturam was in deep love with Radha ( Rekha ), the sister of Tej Singh ( Prem Chopra ) and wanted to marry her at any cost. Peturam proposes to her but Tej makes fun of him and said that he needs to gather some 10 Lakh rupees before he can marry her.

Peturam wanted to gather the money at any cost and thus decides to go to Bombay and work there. He starts driving a taxi and also starts buying lottery tickets for him but everything went in vain as the sum of 10 Lakh rupees was nowhere near. The movie takes a turn when one day Bollywood film maker decides to give him a chance in movies. The movie was a huge success and he was then renamed as Ram Kumar. Now he was more than successful to marry Rekha.
