Rann is a social drama that is scheduled to release on September 25, 2009 under the banners of Vistaar Religare Film Fund, Big Bang Films Production and WSG Pictures. The movie is directed by Ram Gopal Varma and produced by Sheetal Vinod Talwar and Madhu Mantena. The major roles in the movie are played by Amitabh Bachchan, Paresh Rawal, Ritesh Deshmukh and Mohnish Behl while the supporting roles are played by Suchitra Krishnamurthy, Rajat Kapoor, Gul Panag and Neetu Chandra. The music of the film is directed by Amar Mohile, Bapi and Tutul while the songs are sung by Abhishek Nailwal.

The female lead in the movie is being played by Gul Panag who had acted in movies like Dor released in 2006 and Manorama Six Feet Under released in 2007 while Dhoop released in 2003 was her debut movie.
