Bollywood actress, Reena Roy, was born on January 7, 1957 in Tamil Nadu, India. She started her acting career with B. R. Ishara’s Nayi Duniya Naye Log opposite Danny Denzongpa. But she first came in limelight after starring opposite Shatrughan Sinha in 1975 released hit action thriller Kalicharan. Her next film came in the form of a semi hit, Zakhmee. She recieved fame after performing a female snake aka ‘icchadhari nagin’ in 1976 released Nagin. The film became a huge hit and she won her first Filmfare nomination as Best Actress.

She was then seen in a multistarrer movie Jaani Dushman, which also did well at the box office. But her next three films, Muqabla, Badle Ki Aag and Raajtilak proved out to be big flops of her career. But she once again amde a superb comeback and delievered another blockbuster thriller, Subhash Ghai’s Vishwanath opposite Bihari Babu. She then did two hit movie such as Badaltey Rishtey and Pyaasa Sawan with Jeetendra. The films did so well at the box office that the pair were catsed in three more films such as Apnapan, Aasha and Arpan.

Her next notable film came in the form of Manmohan Desai’s multistarrer Naseeb in which she starred opposite Amitabh Bachchan for the first time. She then starred opposite Sanjay Dutt in his debut film Rocky. Her last film as a lead actress was Kamal Hassan starrer romantic movie Sanam Teri Kasam. After that she was seen in supporting role in the films like Aadmi Khilona Hai, Refugee etc.
