Saahas was an action film released on September 18, 1981. The movie was directed by Ravikant Nagaich and produced by Dhoondy. The major roles in the movie were played by Mithun Chakraborty, Jagdeep and Rati Agnihotri while the roles of Shakti Kapoor and Kalpana Iyer were equally important. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri while the songs were sung by Asha Bhosle and Usha Mangeshkar.

Saahas was an action film that revolved mostly around a man named Kishinchand ( Mithun Chakraborty ) who is a Customs Officer based in Bombay. There was a gang of smugglers and drug dealers that were ruling the city and he was then assigned to curb the crimes raised by these people. The gang was headed by two gangsters named Jaggan ( Madan Puri ) and Ajay Kumar ( Sharat Saxena ) and it was only Kishinchand who was believed to stop these people.

There was someone who decided to help the police by becoming the police informer and he was Vijay none other than Ajay’s own brother. Ajay shots his brother but later on felt guilty about what he has done. Ajay not only regrets his death, but also is feeling guilty about his son taking to drugs. Vijay decided to testify against Jaggan but only if the police and Kishinchand are able to find his daughter Rajni first.
