Salaam-E-Ishq was a romantic film that released on January 26, 2007 under the banners of MAD Entertainment Ltd and Orion Pictures. The movie was directed by Nikhil Advani and produced by Sunil Manchanda and Mukesh Talreja. The important roles were enacted by Vidya Balan, Govinda, Salman Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Priyanka Chopra, Ayesha Takia and John Abraham while roles of Isha Koppikar, Juhi Chawla, Anil Kapoor and Anjana Sukhani were also important. The music has been directed by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy and the songs were sung by Adnan Sami, Shilpa Rao, Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghosal and Kunal Ganjawala.

As the name of the movie Salaam-E-Ishq suggests, the story is completely based on the subject of love and revolves around six couples. The couple of Tehzeeb Hussain Raina ( Vidya Balan ) and Ashutosh Raina ( John Abraham ) lives in Mumbai. They had a love marriage and thus had to run away from the home to get together. They loved each other greatly. The other story is about Raju Taxiwala ( Govinda ) who is a taxi driver diving daily from Chandni Chowk to the New Delhi International Airport. He always waied for his love and a blonde dream girl Stephanie ( Shannon Esrechowitz ) who was looking for her boyfriend Rohit Chaddha.

Vinay Malhotra ( Anil Kapoor ) lived in London and has the most loving and caring wife Seema Bakshi Malhotra ( Juhi Chawla ). But his life soon changed when he met Anjali ( Anjana Sukhani ) who is a girl who gets what she wants. Kkamini ( Priyanka Chopra ) was a popular item girl always surrounded by scandals. She wanted to be a heroine and can do the required things for this purpose. Her love life changed when she met Rahul ( Salman Khan ). Shiven Dungarpur ( Akshaye Khanna ) was about to get married to Gia Bakshi ( Ayesha Takia ) and feared his loss of freedom.
