Bollywood romantic action drama, Sanam Teri Kasam, directed by Narendra Bedi and written by Kadar Khan was released on May 6, 1982. The movie starred Kamal Hassan and Reena Roy in lead roles while Kadar Khan, Ranjeet, Jeevan, Jagdeep, Seema deo, Birbal and Neelu Arora also played important roles in the film. The romantic music of the movie was composed by the very famous music director Rahul Dev Burman while the songs were crooned by Kishore Kumar, S. P. Balasubramaniam, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with young and beautiful, Nisha ( Reena Roy ), who lives a wealthy lifestyle alongwith his businessman uncle, Seth Manoharilal ( Kadar Khan ). Nisha goes on a trip to a hill statsion where she meets with a guy named Sunil Sharma aka Sunny ( Kamal Hassan ). After intial arguments they both falls in love with each other. Sunil gets a job in the firm of Seth Manoharilal. Seth Manoharilal is in search of his long lost son and his wife.

A conman named Wilson ( Jeevan ), who is a friend of Seth Manoharilal presents his own son, Robinson ( Ranjeet ) as his long lost son, Sunil. Seth Manoharilal accepts him as his son and arranges his marriage with Nisha. But when he learns that Nisha is in love with Sunny, he ask her to stop meeting him. When she refuse to do so, he sends some goons to kill Sunny. But Manoharilal is unaware of the fact that sunny is actually his real son.
