Sarphira was an action movie released on April 10, 1992. The movie was directed by Ashok Gaikwad and produced by B L Khaitan. The major roles in the movie were played by Sanjay Dutt, Sumeet Sehgal, Kimi Katkar and Madhavi while the roles of Vinod Mehra, Anupam Kher and Shakti Kapoor were also significant. The music of the film was directed by Farooq Kaiser and the songs were sung by Asha Bhonsle, Suresh Wadkar, Amit Kumar and Mohammad Aziz.

Sarphira was an action movie that had some real and different actions of all time. The movie was directed by the famous director Ashok Gaikwad who had produced many movies till now some of which proved hit of that time. The story of the movie revolves around the Judge D.K. Sinha ( Shreeram Lagoo ) who plays the role of an honest and hard-working man. The judge is living with his wife Mrs. D.K. Sinha ( Sushma Seth ) and two sons Rajkishan Sinha ( Vinod Mehra ) and Suresh Sinha ( Sanjay Dutt ).

D.K. Sinha loves both of his sons. While he is confident of his elder son Rajkishan Sinha who is also an honest and true person, D.K. Sinha is little dougtful of his younger son Suresh who is not only a dishonest person but also a short tempered man. He has always disappointed his father and it is his temper that gets him in trouble with the police. The twist in the story comes when Suresh has been arrested for murder and the case is assigned to his father.
