Shakalaka Boom Boom was a social drama movie released on April 6, 2007 under the banner of Shree Krishna International. The movie has been directed and produced by Suneel Darshan. The lead roles in the movie were played by Bobby Deol, Celina Jaitley, Upen Patel and Kangna Ranaut while roles of Anupam Kher, Seema Rahmani, Asrani and Govind Namdeo were also significant. The music of the film has been directed by Himesh Reshammiya and the songs were sung by Himesh Reshammiya, Sunidhi Chauhan, Akruti Kakkar, Kunal Ganjawala and Shaan.

Shakalaka Boom Boom is a movie purely based on the theme of music. There are four people in the movie whose destinies depend upon only music. AJ ( Bobby Deol ) is a singer cum composer and is just about to be famous. He is a very hard working guy and loves winning. Reggie ( Upen Patel ) is a new comer to the music industry but dreams to be where AJ is. He is very talented person having desire for fame and success. Ruhi ( Kangana Ranaut ) is also a young new singer and admires AJ a lot for his hard work. She is in deep love with Reggie. Sheena ( Celina Jaitley ) is a beautiful lady and a PR by profession. She now wants to take all the fame that Reggie had received.

Shakalaka Boom Boom is the internationally acclaimed music industry involving two different yet similar men. AJ and Reggie are two persons with quite different nature but a common passion for music. AJ is the most popluar singer cum composer of the New York. Then there is Reggie who is not much popular as AJ is but is the most talented singer having desire for the fame. Ruhi have a high regard for AJ but loves Reggie a lot. Sheena did a lot for Reggie but now wants everything back due to the negligence provided by him.
