Hit songs of Shart
Shart was a musical thriller released on February 21, 1986. The movie was directed by Ketan Anand while it was produced by Aroon Mahajan. The major roles in the movie were played by Naseruddin Shah, Kanwaljeet Singh, Shabana Azmi and Sarika while the roles of Trilok Kapoor, Tom Alter, Gautam, Mac Mohan, Dina Pathak and Sonu Walia were equally important. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri.
Shart was an action cum thriller film that was based on the theme of some brutal and mysterious murders which rocked the city. The fact to be noticed about the murders was that all the women with loose characters or the prostitutes were killed in the murder. To handle the case, the Inspector Arjun Dutt ( Kanwaljeet Singh ) was assigned and he straight away launches an investigation into the mystery. The only clue he had was a part of a photograph of the killer.
The movie takes a turn when Inspector Arjun claims that the actual killer is a man named Vikram alias Devendra ( Naseruddin Shah ). Arjun was scolded for this analysis of his as there was complete disagreement with his superiors. They also find that Vikram in fact was his close friend who has been his enemy for quite some time now over a common girl named Kiran ( Shabana Azmi ) whom both of them loved. The story reveals who is the actual killer later on in the movie.
