The romantic and adventurous film Tarzan was released on December 13, 1985. The movie was directed as well as produced by B Subhash. The major roles in the movie were enacted by Hemant Birje, Dalip Tahil, Kimi Katkar and Om Shiv Puri while the roles of Narendra Nath, Gautam Sarin, Raja Duggal, Sunita and Sudhir were equally important. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar, Amit Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle.

The movie Tarzan was a romantic and adventurous film that showcased the adventures of a wild man named Tarzan and that is why the movie was also named as Adventures of Tarzan. The story of the movie revolved mostly around a lady named Ruby Shetty ( Kimi Katkar ) who lived a wealthy life with her widowed father. Her father wanted to visit the jungles of India to find a tribe from the Shakabhoomi region, a place from where no one returned.

Ruby also wanted to follow her father and decides to meet him at the jungle’s edge where she was introduced to a man named D.K. ( Dalip Tahil ). Her father wanted her to marry him soon. In the coming days, Ruby faced several misadventures but she was helped by a wild man named Tarzan ( Hemant Birje ). He knew no language but soon both of them fell in love with each other. The twist in the story was that DK wanted to capture Tarzan.
