Taxi No. 9211 was a comedy thriller released on February 24, 2006 under the banner of Entertainment One Pvt. Ltd. The movie was directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ramesh Sippy. The significant roles in the movie were played by Nana Patekar, Sonali Kulkarni, John Abraham, Sameera Reddy and Ritesh Deshmukh while there was a special appearance by Priyanka Chopra. The music of the film was directed by Vishal-Shekhar and the songs were sung by Bappi Lahiri, Vishal, K.K., Sunidhi Chauhan and Adnan Sami.

The movie displays a day in the life of two strangers who happen to meet some day and after the meeting, lives of both of them changes. The story revolves around two persons, both prey to anger and the day they met an accident brings out the worst of them. Raghav Shastri ( Nana Patekar ) is a taxi driver and an insurance agent to the world including his wife ( Sonali Kulkarni ). He needs to pay Rs.30000 to few of his lenders and had changed around 23 jobs in the last 15 years. Some day his taxi was boarded by an equally short tempered man Jai Mittal ( John Abraham ) who wanted to go to a court to claim his family benefits.

It was the last day for Jai to claim the astonishing amount of Rs 300 crores. Raghav wanted to make most of the rich businessman sitting in his cab’s rear seat. Raghav has something that Jai needed urgently. It was the key to his bank’s locker where Jai had kept the will that was to be produced before the court. This begins the game of cat and mouse. Jai puts Raghav behind the bars and also tells his wife his secret that he was a mere taxi driver and not an insurance agent. On the other side, Raghav was in no mood to return the key.
