Bollywood actor, Uday Chopra, was born on January 5, 1973. He is the son of famous filmmaker Yash Chopra. Uday made his acting debut with a multistarrer film Mohabbatein. In his very first film, he got the chance to act opposite two big guns of bollywood, Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. Uday was starred opposite bollywood damsel Shamita Shetty, who was also a newcomer at that time, in the film. The movie did exceptionally well at the box office.

After that Uday was next seen in year 2004 released Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, which was also produced by Yash Raj Films. The movie recieved mixed reviews from the audiences as well as by critics. He also did cameo appearance in Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Mujhse Dosti Karoge. He mostly starred in his home production flicks. He eventually shot to fame after playing the supercool ‘Ali’ in action thriller Dhoom.

Later he once again did a lead role in romantic comedy Neal ‘N’ Nikki opposite his ex-girlfriend Tanisha. But this time too he failed to received good response from audience and the movie became proved out to be a big flop of that year. He continued with his comic image and starred in Dhoom 2. He was equally praised alongwith Abhishek Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan in the film. He will also be seen in Dhoom 3.
