Bollywood hunk, Upen Patel, was born on August 16, 1980 in London, England. He started modelling while studying Computer Science Degree at University of Hertfordshire. He won Zee TV’s supermodel hunt in the year 2002. He also recieved the MTV Style award. He first appeared in the remix music video ‘ Kya khoob lagti ho ‘ opposite sexy bollywood actress Udita Goswami. He then made his bollywood film debut with 2006 released suspense thriller 36 China Town. Though the film also had many other recognized bollywood stars like Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Khanna in it but he still managed to impress audience with his act in the film.

He was then seen playing second fiddle in Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Namastey London. The movie also did well at the box office. He then played his first lead role in Shaka Laka Boom Boom opposite Celina Jaitely and Kangana Ranaut. But this film failed to do well at the box office and was declared a big flop. He also tried his hand in comedy in the movie titled One Two Three which recieved moderate success at the box office.

Later he once again did a supporting role in multistarrer comedy flick Money Hai Toh Honey Hai. But this film too failed to get success at the box office window. He is currently shooting for his forthecoming flick titled Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. He has been linked with many bollywood actresses in his short career.
