The comedy movie Yeh Teraa Ghar Yeh Meraa Ghar was released on October 12, 2001 under the banner of Ripples Picture Entertainment. The movie was directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Hemang Desai. The actors in the lead roles were played by Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Mahima Choudhary and Saurabh Shukla while the roles of Sanjay Narvekar and Neeraj Vora were also important. Music of the film was directed by Anand-Milind while the songs were sung by Alka Yagnik, Babul Supriyo, Adnan Sami, Shaan and K K.

The movie Yeh Teraa Ghar Yeh Meraa Ghar was directed by South Indian director Priyadarshan who earlier directed comedy movie “Hera Pheri” and makes a comeback with this comic movie with the same members Sunil Shetty, Mahima Chaudhary and Paresh Rawal. The movie is about a villager Dayashankar Manorilal Pandey ( Sunil Shetty ) who comes to Mumbai to gain the possession of his ancestral house. Daya found himself in huge debt after he married all his sisters back in the village. Thus he wanted to sell the house his father rented out in Mumbai.

But the house was not vacant and was occupied by Saraswati Pandurang Joshi ( Mahima Chaudhary ) and her family members consisting of mother, a young sister, who dreams of copying P.T.Usha and a heavy school going brother. The family had been living in the house for quite a long time now and paid the rent of Rs. 80 per month. Daya’s problems were increased when his friend Babban ( Sanjay Narvekar ) asked him to take loan of Rs 1 lakh from his boss Haribhau ( Neeraj Vora ).
