Amitabh Bachchan and Saira Banu starrer bollywood action thriller, Zameer, was released on March 17, 1975. The movie was directed by Ravi Chopra and written by Akhtar-Ul-Iman. The other starcast of the movie includes Shammi Kapoor, Vinod Khanna, Indrani Mukherjee, Madan Puri, Ramesh Deo, Master Shailesh, Hari Shivdasani, Jagdish Raj and Chand Kapoor in important roles. The melodious music of the movie was composed by Sapan Chakroborthy while the songs were beautifully rendered by Kishore Kumar, Mahendra Kapoor, Manna Dey, Asha Bhonsle etc.

Maharaj Singh ( Shammi Kapoor ) is living a happy life alongwith his wife and a son named Chimpoo. One night some dacaits attack on his house. maharaj Singh fights with them and ends up killing son of the dacait’s leader, Maan Singh ( Madan Puri ). Maan Singh seeks revenge from maharaj Singh and abducts his son. Years later, Maharaj’s old servant brings a young guy named Badal ( Amitabh Bachchan ) in the house and tells him that he is his missing son. Maharaj accepts his as his son.

Badal falls in love with a girl named Sunita ( Saira Banu ). But he get shocked when he reveals that Sunita is the daughter of Maharaj Singh and that means she is his sister. Badal then reveals the truth that he is not the real son of Maharaj Singh. maharaj gets angry with him and ask him to leave the house immediately. Badal leaves but decides to find Maharaj’s real son.
