Zor was a action movie released on February 13, 1998. The movie was directed by Sangeeth Sivan and produced by Vivek Kumar. The key roles in the movie were played by Sunny Deol, Om Puri, Sushmita Sen and Laxmikant Berde while the roles of Mohan Agashe, Farida Jalal, Anupam Kher and Milind Gunaji were also important. The songs of the movie were sung by Alka Yagnik, Vinod Rathod and Hema Sardesai.

As the name of the movie Zor suggests, the movie is all about force (English term for Zor), and comes with the tagline “Never underestimate the Force”. The movie is based on the backdrop of communalism and raises the fact that mandirs and masjids should coexist. The movie is the mission of a man to pin the real victims and bring back his misguided Muslim friend ( Milind Gunaji ) to the path of true nationalism and away from communalism. Sushmita Sen plays the journalist in the movie and provided the updates on the ongoing rivalries.

The story and screenplay of the movie shows the lack of geographical knowledge. The movie stills shifts from Mumbai to Himalayan peaks and to Rajasthan’s sands without any explanation. There have been going the riots over a piece of land claimed by both Hindus and Muslims for Mandir and Masjid. Several attempts for peace also failed. A Muslim character with his lovely daughter exist in the plot only to justify how their death turns BSP officer Iqbal Khan ( Milind Gunaji ) into a terrorist fighting for a Muslim cause.
