Hrithik Roshan was in news some time back for the smoky hot scenes and the lip lock that he had done with Kites co star Barbara Mori. He said that the kissing scene happened when they were shooting in Santa Fe and it was a very critical scene that they were doing. In the scene, he was required to jump off a rooftop and that from an incredible height. Before he jumps off, he was to kiss Barbara as a sign of love before making that death-defying jump.

Here the idea of the kiss came from director Anurag Basu. Now in the first take he kissed Barbara on the cheek before taking the plunge. After the show, Barbara came up to him and said that whether he would have done the same if in a real life scenario Suzanne was in place of her. Hrithik got the reason as to what she wanted to convey and in the next shot kissed her on the lips.

Hrithik though confessed to the amazement of his as to why all the fuss was being created around the kiss. He said that we have come off age in our cinema and said that he had no problems watching the movie with his wife, father and his kids. He seems to be keeping all the aesthetics in mind before giving these shots.

He however refused Sanjay Leela Bhansali who approached him to do a nude scene in the movie Guzaarish to which he completely refused saying that it was not the requirement of the script and that they could do very well without the scene.
