In the past few months there have been numerous cases where celebrities have had found out that they were being impersonated on social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter. Celebs who have suffered from this include Katrina Kaif, Shahid Kapur and Sonal Chauhan. In their own ways, they have tried to battle the issue either by coming up with their own interactive websites or by formally announcing that they are not on these websites so that the fans are aware of the fact that the person they interact with is an impersonator.

However, the impersonation thing was taken to an altogether new level when a person impersonating Sushmita Sen started to ask for money for charitable causes in her name. Sush came face to face with the horror and has now decided to take stern action against the impersonator. She knew that there were people impersonating her but she never took any steps as no one was being harmed.

However asking money from people using her name was taking it way too far and it is no game now. She first came to know of this when her friends called her up asking what amount they should donate to her charity. She clearly had no idea what they were talking about. It would have been even worse if they had donated the money without asking her.

She believes in donating money to charities but she does not believe in asking for money from the fans. She has asked her all her fans to be careful and not donate money on any website, which uses her name because it is not she who is out there but an impersonator.
