Imran gives somewhat different view on Independence

Now as we get ready to celebrate the sixty-second year of our independence Imran Khan gives his take on what he feels about independence. Firstly, he feels that we have done a great deal for ourselves in these years considering the fact we were left in ruins after the British ruled for 200 years. However, he feels that in today’s age we have laid so much importance on the word independence that we forget that sometimes it feels like to be dependent on your friends, family and loved one.

It feels good to have somebody close to you when you ate in a tricky situation. He was recently heard quoting a few lines from Chaplin in The Great Dictator which said that the airplanes and the radio had brought mankind ever so close and these inventions pint out to the good in mankind. Imran says that since our independence we have been so busy in building walls around our boundaries to protect our nation that we forgot we also need to love our neighbours.

He feels Aamir Khan is the best patriot he has seen, as he has immense love for the people of his country. He says that patriotism is loving your country but without hating all other great nations. It is impossible not to feel the affection of public when you are a star. The people all over the world are same, they cry and laugh together yet we find our bravest sons guarding our borders and that goes for all the countries.

He says it fine to put those flags on your cars but he feels we should not forget the word dependence. In the midst of all this, he hopes there will be a day when we would be able to depend on the support and love of another country and for that to happen we need to keep those doors in between those huge walls open.
