Irrfan Khan seems to have injures himself on the sets of movie Paan Singh Tomar. The movie is inspired from real life story that will see Irrfan khan playing the role of a marathon runner. He actually was injured while shooting a scene in which he is on a run. The actor in the meantime has turned photographer in his next movie, which is being directed by Italian director Italo Spinelli.

In the movie, he plays a wild life photographer and he has already started to get in the character mould, as he is seen clicking away pictures on the sets on his movie in Rourkee. The movie is tiled Choli Ke Peeche and the female lead is yet to be finalized. Nandana Sen walked out of the movie, as she did not want to do the nude scene in which she has photographs of her being clicked.

Irrfan has suggested the name of the south Indian actress Shriya Reddy who left a lasting impression on Irrfan when he watched her movie. However, Irrfan feels that this actress will also not be comfortable doing the nude sequence. He has suggested that the director use a body double for the scene. His reason for being a part of this movie was that he wanted to be a part of Mahashweta Devi creative work.

It is from her work that the movie has been adapted. He will be playing Bengali for the second time in his career. Earlier he had received worldwide critical acclaim for his performance as a Bengali in the movie The Namesake that was directed by Mira Nair. The people down south still confuse him as a Bengali that was the conviction with which he played the part.
