Puneet Sira the director of the latest flick to be released has clarified that the movie Jai Veeru is not a remake of Sholay. The movie starts Fardeen Khan and Kunal Khemu in the lead. Both of them have not had a successful time at the box office. They will surely be hoping that this one will do better at the box office. Kunal Khemu has not registered a hit since Kalyug and Traffic Signal.

The director of the movie Jai Veeru says that whenever you think of making a movie based on two friends the names Jai and Veeru automatically come to mind. He clarifies that the movie has not been inspired by Sholay or bears any resemblance to the earlier classic. He says that Jai Veeru is a comedy flick with a lot of entertainment value. The director says that the movie has many stunts and many car chases.

Puneet Sira made his directorial debut with movie I - PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN. The movie was inspires by a real life story. The movie did not do to well at the box office. He hopes audiences will like his second movie, as it is a comedy as compared to his earlier movie, which had dark shades and action.

Jai Veeru is set to be released on 11 March (Holi).The director also has a movie Kisaan set to release in April. The movie has Jackie Shroff, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan in the lead roles. The story of the movie is based in a rural village. The director is happy with the movie and expects the audiences to give thumbs up to the movie.
