Jasbir Khanuja popularly known as Jasbir Jassi was born on May 4, 1982 in Punjab, India. He is a punjabi pop singer. He did his master’s degree in classical musicfrom Apeejay College Of Fine Arts. He came up with his first music album, Dil Le Gayee in the year 1998. The album attracted the attention of audience and became quite a rage between youth.

Then in year 1999, he gave another hit punjabi pop album in the form of Kudi Kudi. But his next album, Nishani Pyaar Di failed to attract audience attention. He has given many albums till now but the most successful album among all of those are Dil Le Gayee. Jasbir Jassi was so passionate about music that he quit engineering to study classical music. Each of his songs has a story behind it and his compositions are heavily influenced by the folk music of the country.
