Veteran bollywood actor, Jeetendra, was born as Ravi Kapoor on April 7, 1942 in Punjab, India. He is married to Shobha Kapoor. His son Tusshar Kapoor is also a bollywood actor like him while his daughter, Ekta Kapoor is the queen of small screen, who runs Balaji Telefilms. Jeetendra started his acting career with V. Shantaram’s Geet Gaya Pattharon Ne in the year 1964.

But his first big hit came in the form of Farz in which he played a undercover agent. The movie did exceptionally well at the box office. After that he did many notable films such as Jigri Dost, Mere Huzoor, Humjoli, Caravan etc. He also got the title of Jumping Jack for his unorthodox but new dancing. Besides doing some lover boy type roles, he also played a simple and serious guy in 1972 released Parichay.

After that he was seen in a special appearance in the multistarrer movie Nagin. Then in 1977 released Dharam-Veer he acted alongside Dharmendra. His next film was also a multistarrer titled Jaani Dushman. Later he was frequently paired up with Sridevi in many films such as Justice Chaudhary, Himmatwala, Tohfa etc. He also played an important role in Shahrukh Khan starrter Dil Aashna Hai.
