Jermaine Jackson who flew down to Mumbai to shoot a music video and collaborate with Adnan Sami has seen first of his humble request to shoot in the slums of Dharavi turned down by the local authorities. No specific reason has been provided as to why the request was turned down as in the past there have been numerous shoots that have been done in those areas of Dharavi.

It is strange as to why a request made by Jermaine would be declined and that too without giving any satisfactory or any explanation for that matter. Divya Khosla Kumar is the one who contacted the authorities and officials on the behalf of Jermaine. Divya how would be directing the movie is now looking for more similar looking slums to direct the song over there.

It was after watching the Danny Boyle directorial movie Slumdog Millionaire did the idea of shooting the song in the slums of Mumbai came up in the mind of Jermaine. However, he would have to do with some other slums and the locales in the music video. It is now known that they intend to make use of backgrounds in places like The Gateway of India, Marine Drive, CST station and Masjid Bunder.

Jermaine’s stay has been nothing-short of a roller coaster up until now tasting the Indian food and delicacies along with getting a flavor of the Indian culture. He would be visiting some heritage sights soon once the work schedules gets over. The Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sikri are already on their itenary and it would not be a surprise if they squeeze some more heritage places in over there.
