John Abraham will be seen in a romantic movie titled 1-800-Love. Abbas Tyrewala who made his directorial debut with a bang giving us Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa will direct the movie. The heroine in the movie will be none other than Abbas’s wife Pankhi who will be seen making her on screen debit with this one. Seeing your own wife romancing someone else is surely going to be a bit awkward for Abbas.

He comes out saying that if he steps back from this one then he will never ever be able to direct any other girl in a romantic movie. John says that he is fine with the fact and he knows both of them very well so there will no problem on the sets. He was also praise for Pankhi whom he says will come across as brilliant actor. The fact that she is also very pretty will also help her. Sam Mandes is the only other director that comes to mind who has directed his wife in a movie.

He directed wife Kate Winslet in the movie Revolutionary Road. John in the meantime wants audiences to look into his performances rather than his physicality. He looks back at his performances in movies like Zinda, Dostana , Kabul Express and No Smoking and feels like that he has done some quality work. Aashayein is another project of which he is very proud. Nagesh Kukunoor is directing the movie and it seems to have run into some problems due to a tussle between Percept Pictures and Reliance.

He is hopeful that things will soon be sorted out and the movie will be release as per schedule. New York is another one of his project in the pipeline.
