Johnny Gaddaar going strong- Neil Mukesh invites praise
Last week saw the release of Dharmendra starrer movie Johnny Gaddaar, which also introduced the grandson of the legendary singer Mukesh - Neil Mukesh »”>Nitin Mukesh. Well, the movie did garner critical acclaim from the media but if the collections on the Box Office are anything to go by, it has surged ahead as a clear winner. The movie has been touted as a must watch by many and audience are flocking in multiplexes and cinemas everywhere.
What comes as a surprise is the fact that audiences are preferring to watch Neil Mukesh’s debut movie, while they have the option of watching a comedy by none other than ace comedy director Priyadarshan, whose good times started to roll with Hera Pheri which has become a cult classic now. The reason can also be attributed to the fact that Priyadarshan hasn’t been a consistent performer (his movies like Chup Chupke being the cases in point).
Priyadarshan’s Dhol has become weak despite mixed reviews by critics and some critics finding it as too good, while others maintain it was nothing great. Well, Dhol’s loss has turned out to be Johnny Gaddaar’s gain. And seems like the trend will continue for some time to come. The best part is that the hunk of a newcomer, Neil’s acting skills have invited praise from everyone in who has watched the movie. So what are you waiting for? Go and watch Johnny Gaddaar.
