Juhi Chawla and Amitabh Bachchan would once again be sharing the screen space in the movie Aladin. Amitabh would be seen playing the character of Genius who is the genie whereas not much is known about what the characterization of Juhi would be in the movie. Contrary to the reports in the tabloids, Juhi would certainly not be playing the character of Princess Jasmine in this modern day avatar of Aladin and the magic lamp.

The last time they were together it was in the movie Bhootnath where Juhi played the mother to a notorious young boy who befriends this ghost played by Amitabh when they movie into their new house. Like last time it is more than likely that they will be having more than a few scenes together. For both of them it would a move from the genre of horror to that of fantasy.

Sujoy Ghosh has made the claim more than once that this contemporary story will take the audiences into a fantasy world, the graphics used, and cool visual effects would make all that kind of stuff believable. Playing the villain in the movie would be Sanjay Dutt with his character of the ringmaster. The hat and the moustache have already been much talked about.

Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez would be also making her debut in Bollywood when the movie releases on 30 October. It would not be an easy ride though as they would be pitted against the Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan starrer London Dreams and with momentum on Salman’s side, it would take some script and acting skills to overshadow that one.
