Kalki Koechlin tries to do a balancing act
Life seems to have changed a lot for Kalki Koechlin since Dev D was declared a hit all over India. She now just misses out simple things that she used to do earlier like shop from the roadside of eat out at Karim’s. The thing she has come to dislike the most is that you have to be dressed up al the time and you cannot relax for a day and wear no makeup.
She has not been signing a whole lot of movies after dev d even though she has been flooded with various movies. She will next be seen making an appearance in Happy Ending. Anurag Kashyap will direct the movie. She entered into a live in relationship with Anurag while shooting for Dev D. They bonded together well and their thinking frequency also matches.
The thing that is the most common between the two is their passion for work. Kalki started to work on her play The Skeleton Woman soon after the work on Dev D got over. The play has been adapted from Women, Who run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. Kalki has tried to strike a balance between theatre and movies. She says theater is a place where you grow immensely as an actor.
She believes that acting makes her happy. She was recently a part of the party in Delhi to celebrate the success of designers Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor’s who have now opened stores in New York and Hong Kong .she has managed to keep away from the stereotyped roles but has not managed to find anything that has interested her so far.
