Karan Johar was all praise for Tanay Cheda how played the mid aged Jamal in the movie Slumdog Millionaire. Tanay would now be portraying junior Shahrukh Khan in the movie My Name Is Khan. He recently was back to the slums of Mumbai this time around shooting with Karan. Karan signed him on as he has some similarities with SRK and that you can think of a younger SRK, looking like that. Another reason for signing him on is the effect he might have on the international sales.

Karan was so impresses by the work of Tanay that he has decided that he is the actor he will turn to if needed in the future to plays junior SRK. He was quick to learn the small character traits of SRK and his style of acting. Karan will be flying off to San Francisco to shoe a major part of the movie. Though the movie was to be shot in New York, he was denied permission by the authorities.

Kajol who is playing the female lead is though not ready to leave her daughter alone at home leaving Karan in a precarious situation. Kajol was recently shooting some action sequences for the movie Toonpur Ka Superhero. Director Jack Gill who has been associated with movies like Spider Man, Terminator and Superman had a tough time with Kajol, as she is afraid of doing action sequences.

Ajay on the other hand though a bit rusty managed to do the scenes quite nicely. He in fact made his name in the industry as an action hero though he has not done many movies in this genre recently. Jack Gill compare Kajol to Julia Roberts who is also known be afraid of action sequences.
