Karan Johar has been often accused of paying his actors much less than the actual fee they charged but in an incident that happened recently he will surely have the image of him made in the media go some sort of a change. When it comes to making quick bucks in the industry or anywhere else for that matter, nobody wants to be left behind.

Karan however made an exception to the rule when he returned a huge amount of money back to the Yashraj banner. The reason he felt that he had overcharged them when he sold them the distribution rights of his movie Dostana. Now the news was never meant to be made public but he has got nothing to do with the leak. It his hard to stop such kind of a news making way into the public domain.

Usually the distribution rights of the movie are sold for a commission basis for the first time ever did Yashraj gave a Minimum Guarantee royalty amount to Karan. However when Karan say the first cut of the movie Dostana he immediately felt that he had in fact overcharged them and in a split second decision he decided to return back a part of the amount.

Karan never intended to let out the news and receive a pat on his back for what he did. Now that the news is out it is worth appreciating what he did and his sense of fair play. It was also revealed that after watching the first cut he felt that the movie would only work in the multiplexes and not on single screens, which was later proved wrong by the amazing response it got all over the places.
