Karan Johar in an interview recently spoke of the deal he has with Fox Studios who will now be distributing his movie My Name Is Khan worldwide. He clarified that the astronomical high figures that were being reporting with respect to the deal were not true. He did not disclose the actual figure saying that it was an internal matter between his company, Fox Studios and Red Chillies Entertainment.

He said that the historic thing in the deal comes from the fact that for the first time Hindi cinema will go to places that were unheard of in our industry. He says that the rapport with the fox team has been good from day one and there is mutual respect for each other’s work. They have confidence in our brand and the content quality. When asked did the Fox studios sign the deal to build a good image for themselves amongst the Islamic community?

He denied any such motive behind the deal and says that it is the feeling you get at the emotional level that did the trick when he gave them the narration. In no way was their decision politically motivated. The business with Fox just does not end over there. He will be adapting their movie Stepmom into a movie, which will be directed by Siddharth Malhotra.

He said that he always tried to direct original scripts but if the youngsters want to direct movies adapted from others he does not stop them from doing so rather supports them. He also made known the finale caste of the movie that included Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal.
