Rajkumar Gupta who rose to fame last year as a director with the movie Aamir is busy with work these days. The movie that marked the debut of Rajeev Khandelwal was one of the biggest hit of the years and the audiences gave the movie a thumb up. After the movie, Rajkumar Gupta decided to make a movie on the murder of Jessica Lal. The court case following the murder made a lot of news with people holding rallies to have the accused acquitted with the charges of murder.

Bit as things work as time passé by people move on and forget what happened. What made him go ahead with movie was an article in the leading daily The Times Of India that had the heading in No One Killed Jessica. He offered Kareena Kapoor the lead role in the movie but she declined to play the part due to unknown reasons. The director does not want to divulge any more details with respect to the caste of the movie.

The movie will see two actresses portraying the parts of Jessica Lal and her sister who went on ahead to fight for justice for her sister. The director has also written the script for the movie Barah Aana that has been released recently. He had committed to the project prior to the release of Aamir. The movie has received mixed reviews and the problem the movie is facing that it appeals to only a section of the multiples going audiences.

The performance put in by the veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah is worth mentioning. In the movie, he does not speak much but his silence spoke for itself. The performance is a one that might even end up with an award next year.
