Kareena Kapoor is treading her own path and has for a second time turned down an offer to be a part of international filmmaker Gurinder Chaddha’s movie. She has turned down an international offer when most actors are looking to go global. She might have no plans to go in global as of now but there might be more to the rejection than that.

Gurinder offered her the role in Bride And Prejudice and Kareena immediately gave the nod only to find out later that she was not being offered the lead. The role offered to her was that of Aishwarya Rai’s fourth sister played by Priya Rai Choudhary later. That might have been a bit embarrassing considering that he gave the nod for the lead role. This time around, she blatantly turned her down even before hearing what the role offered was.

She has in her defense said that what matters is the role and not the person offering it but it looks like she might have turned this down due to the person and not role. Now Gurinder is in a tight spot with no actress to fit the bill as Aish has already turned her down. It was due to her comments. She said that it was due to her that the movie Mistress Of Spices flopped.

Many stars from the industry are turning down these hugely lucrative offers. Mira Nair had to face some problems while she was finalizing the caste of her movie The Namesake and Water. Now that can be understood, as she wanted Rani Mukherjee to play the mother of Abhishek Bachchan, which was completely unacceptable to her.
