Katrina Kaif’s British accent was a hurdle initially in her career and now that same accent has helped her bag a role in Dibakar Banerjee next movie. The role is best suited for her says the director as the heroine of the movie also has mixed parents and so does Katrina. The accent of hers is also, what is required in the movie. Katrina has in the past expressed her desire to work with the director as she found her work very nice.

The script was written keeping her in my mind. Abhay Deol who had given us Oye Lucky Lucky Oye some time back working with the same director will play the lead role in the movie. They will surely want to continue their hit pairing with this one. Appearing in the movie will also be Imran Khan. The movie will be an all out romantic movie and nothing more has been revealed so far.

Sonam Kapoor also wanted to play the part but Dibakar said that the role was not for her as she brings to the screen a very traditional Indian girl look and that is not requires in this role. Anil Kapoor even invited Dibakar Banerjee to his house and talked about the movie but nothing happened. The director wants to work with Sonam and maybe sometime in the future he will direct her but not in this one.

Meanwhile Sonam still gets to work with Abhay Deol in Ayesha, which is Anil’s home production. Imran will be seen making his presence felt in the movies like Luck and Delhi Belly. Katrina continues her purple patch with even her accent helping her to stay on top.
