The Indian cinema is leaving no stone unturned to make their presence felt at the Cannes film festival in this year. Many big names from the industry will be flying down to walk the red carpet. Anil Kapoor, Karan Johar, Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor will make their presence felt at the event. The event also provides a platform for the filmmakers to promote their movies worldwide and find distributors for their movies worldwide.

Eros Entertainment had already said that they would be premiering their movie Kambakkht Ishq starring Akshay Kumar at the festival owing to the presence of international stars like Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh. Now Reliance Big Entertainment have followed suite and have made a last minute decision to premiere their movie kites at the film festival.

The movie is not like the typical Bollywood stuff. The movie has not yet been completed and is still in the postproduction stage but the reliance team arranged a rough screening for the likes of Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan who were specially flown in .Barbara Mori was also present over there. The movie has been made with a huge budget of 30 million dollars and reliance team seems to be taking large strides in the field as last year they struck a deal with Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks.

The movie has been shot partly in Mumbai and the rest in United States. The release of the movie has been highly anticipated in India and a good review at the festival might work wonders for the movie.
