‘Luck By Chance’, ‘Victory’ showed poor results in box office

Luck By Chance’ is the first film made by Zoya Akhtar, but it did not fulfil the expectations of the public as well as of the box office. On the other hand, Ajitpal Mangat’s debut film ‘Victory’ which was based on Cricket also proved unable to fulfil the expectations at the box office. Both the films are of medium budget and were released last week, but they proved to be of no use from the business point of view.

Amongst the two ‘Luck By Chance’ got some initiative in the starting days but with the passage of time its popularity also fell short. On the contrary the cricket movie, “Victory”, which stars Hurman S. Baweja, also proved to be a disaster when there was a shortage of people to watch the movie at the theatre. In spite of some appreciation in respect of Hurman, the film proved to be incapable of attracting the audiences.

Joginder Tuteja, a trade analyst as well as a critic said that ‘Luck By Chance’ was a well-made film but it didn’t fulfil the expectations during the weekends. In spite of being a good release the film can’t even put the occupancy more than 50% at the cinema houses. ‘Victory’ achieved the victory in getting the lowest openings as compared to the movies released in last few months with a collection of nearly 20%. In the view point of Joginder sports movies have not proved to be very much successful in India.

‘Luck By Chance’ is a story of a man who comes to Mumbai as an actor and wants to get something big in Bollywood whereas ‘Victory’ deals with a Father’s dream of seeing his son as a national cricketer. Both these films released worldwide but didn’t prove to be successful at the box office.
