Recently Emraan Hashmi turned 30 and was busy shooting on the day of his birthday. He was so busy that he was not even picking up calls from people who wanted to wish him on his birthday. Such is the level of commitment he has shown to his directors. He was though a bit surprised after he reached home, as the numbers of bouquets were much more than what he normally got. He might owe these to the fans he added after the success of Jannat and Raaz - The Mystery Continues.

He also received a very long text message from none other than his uncle Mahesh Bhatt wishing him a very happy birthday. When he asked Bhatt Saab for his gift Bhatt Saab instead of giving him a gift asked for a gift himself. Emraan obliged and gifted him some good books. Bhatt Saab calls these gifts guru dakshina and Emraan has got used to it, as it is a routine he follows.

Emraan has followed the footsteps of his uncle and he does not expect gift from friends or wife. He his having his finger plastered after he broke it on the sets of Kunal Deshmukh’s movie Tum Mile. In the movie, he is sharing the screen space with Soha. They have been shooting many scenes under knee height water. For the shoot, they have rented and old scrap factory in Mumbai as they were not able to do the scenes in a film studio, as the floors were not big enough to submerge cars in it.

Emraan has finally come of age and is now doing much better work. He might owe all this to his guru Bhatt Saab and might think of buying him some more books. He will be hoping that his next movie Tum Mile and Once Upon A Time In Mumbai will please the audiences.
